One-Bedroom Ground-Floor Unit
Thatch Cottage - The Little Gem in Montagu is a recently renovated one-bedroom apartment. The ground-floor unit has a private entrance, a private bathroom, and a quiet street view. The bedroom is air-conditioned, and the living area has streaming services for entertainment.
Self-Catering and Barbecue
The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen with a barbecue and an outdoor dining area in the garden. There is no onsite restaurant, so guests cook their own meals. The sheltered braai area works well even in wintry weather.
Garden and Outdoor Space
Guests have use of a garden with many feathered visitors. The outdoor dining area is a good spot for meals or drinks. Inside, the air-conditioned apartment keeps things comfortable, and streaming services cover entertainment.
Quiet Area and Parking
The cottage sits in a quiet part of Montagu, close to shops and restaurants. It is 200 km from Cape Town International Airport. Free on-site private parking is available for guests.
Pet Friendly Services
The property welcomes pets, and host Sue communicates clearly while leaving treats for both people and four-legged guests. Free WiFi, luggage storage, and free parking come with the stay. The apartment is non-smoking throughout.
“The true charm of this cottage lies in its considered details, from a garden alive with bird song to the surprisingly well-equipped interior. I found myself particularly drawn to the cozy, sheltered braai area, a space that invites lingering even on cooler evenings. It's a place where thoughtful touches create a genuinely welcoming atmosphere.”
